Originally, I came to Arkansas in 1990 in a 1980 Camaro with a couple hundred bucks in my pocket. I fell in love with crystals when I dug my first crystal which was the size of my little fingernail. I won the digging contest twice in 1993 and 1994. And, more than one of my specimens is on permanent display in the quartz display in the world famous Hillman Hall Collection in the Museum of Natural History at the Carngie Museum in Pittsburgh, PA.(thanks, Marc and Deb!)
Inside I also have lots of information about the cleaning process, which can be just as hard or harder than the digging process. You will find information on local mines, where you can go to dig and keep all you find.
When I am home, I have a very limited amount of time, due to my heavy show schedule, which you can see on the “Upcoming Shows” page. However, I am available to host guided digging tours (no children, please!), as I am a certified independent Arkansas Surface Quartz Miner. Of course, most of the time, I am on the road participating in club and commercial shows as a dealer, so you can always attend a show and see my ever-changing display in person, or set up an appointment to come to my World Headquarters, just outside of Mount Ida, Arkansas, the Quartz Crystal Capital of the World!. To find me, just browse my upcoming shows list. Or, email me direct at: firstname.lastname@example.org. I DO NOT TEXT. I DO NOT GO TO TUCSON. I DO NOT HAVE A MINE.
